What is ScanAI?

ScanAI is an automated diagnosis system designed to detect scoliosis, bone fractures, and some types of cancers in X-Rays. This technology utilizes machine learning to detect inconsistencies in the pixel data of an uploaded X-Ray.

 

Our team is working with datasets that contain hundreds of thousands of X-Ray images. We are using these images to train our model. However, the training process takes a very long time! An extensive amount of computing power is necessary to work through all of these images.

What is my role in the project?

As one of the team leaders, I have a wide range of tasks. I meet regularly with both the front end developers and back end developers to ensure that the front end shows the information that our back end developers want to display. Since this project is still being developed, I am currently studying machine learning concepts so that I will be able to aid our back end developers. I am working through a TensorFlow course that covers concepts such as Core Learning Algorithms, Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, and quite a lot more.
